This blog I have set up for a good friend of mine who has a one year old Pomeranian puppy named Casper that needs to undergo a second life saving heart surgery. He had the first surgery last fall and it was initially successful, however scar tissue is closing the valve opening that was made in that operation and he is right back to where he started. What he has is called Severe Pulmonic Stenosis. I will be doing a lot of copy and pasting from other places to save time, in order to put a lot of information here for you to read. Without this surgery, Casper will die. Time is also critical, he is showing all the signs that his heart is working very hard and he is under a lot of physical stress. That is not good. The sooner he has the surgery the better but the University will not do the surgery until his mom has all the money up front for him to have it. She needs $3,500.00 in advance of the surgery. We have a lot of fundraisers going on at this time and would like you to take a look at what we are doing to raise money for Casper. You can make a difference, even in a small way. There is a raffle, you can buy tickets for, we have many retailers that are donating a portion of their profits to Caspers fund, there is a special music download sung by Caspers mom that you can get with only a $2 donation, there will soon be a dog/cat/human cookbook available for sale or you can simply give a donation of any size.
PLEASE HELP US SAVE CASPERS LIFE
This is Caspers story in his words.
My name is CASPER and I just recently turned one. I have a heart condition called SEVERE PULMONIC STENOSIS, mommy tried to get my heart fixed about 4 months ago at the University of Gainesville in FL. They performed heart surgery on me to correct the problem, But sadly I recently found out after going for a recheck that the operation was a failure, the scar tissue in my heart closed off what has been corrected.Since my Stenosis is severe that means my heart works 2 times harder than a normal dog… I am currently in risk of sudden death, or even a cardiac arrest if I get too much activity. I don't have much time to have the operation repeated, as my scar tissue keeps closing the valve. If it closes all the way my heart will keep enlarging, because of the lack of blood flow... by the time I had the operation last time my heart was already 25% larger than it should be… I CAN NOT HAVE IT GROW ANYMORE OR IT CAN COST ME MY LIFE…. AND I AM NOT PLANNING ON GOING ANY WERE ANY TIME SOON!!!!
PLEASE HELP ME RAISE THE MONEY FOR MY OPERATION, THERE ARE SEVERAL WAYS THAT YOU CAN HELP:YOU CAN JOIN MY SUPPORT GROUP AND BUY A RAFFLE TICKET TO WIN SOME WONDERFUL THINGS for both Humans and pets (ALL RAFFLE MONEY IS GOING TOWARDS MY OPERATION) here's the link to my group
